Day 14: Jesus and Mary at the Wedding at Cana
The Second Luminous Mystery of the Rosary
John 2:1–12
Have you ever wondered why the Bible begins and ends with a wedding?
Adam and Eve’s story begins with a marriage covenant in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:23–24).
The Bible closes with the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, the ultimate celebration of union with God (Revelation 19:9; 21:9; 22:17).
“Throughout the Bible, marriage is the symbol of the covenant relationship God desires with His chosen people. He is the groom, humanity His beloved and sought-after bride. We see this reflected beautifully in today’s Luminous Mystery.” — Scott Hahn
Today’s Virtue:
If you are married, see God’s plan for your salvation and His love for you reflected in your spouse.
The image of God is the complementary union of man and woman. A union that has the ability to co- create life with God.
Genesis 1:26-27
“ Let us make man in Our image, after our likeness…So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.”
