Day 33:
Act of Consecration to Jesus through Mary:
I, a repentant sinner, ________, entrust myself to the merciful hands of the Mother of Jesus, in the same way that Christ entrusted Himself to her.
I surrender all of myself:
all my anxieties,
all my insecurities,
all that I am,
and all that I desire to be,
into that same embrace into which Christ entrusted Himself.
Christ, who is the Alpha and the Omega,
He whom the entire universe could not contain,
in a great act of humility chose to contain Himself within the womb of Mary.
That was the first act of consecration to Mary.
For if the earth was made whole and holy by having Jesus walk upon it,
how much more holy was the womb that bore Him.
Jesus could have entered the world without the cooperation of mankind,
yet He chose to rest His coming upon the yes of a humble woman.
In doing so, He bestowed a great and undeserved mercy upon us all:
a Mother of human flesh through whom God united Himself to humanity.
For if Mary is the Mother of the Head of the Church, Jesus Christ,
then she must also be the Mother of His Body.
So today, I, ________, entrust myself to this same Mother
to whom God the Father entrusted His only-begotten Son.
I trust in her who alone witnessed His life from beginning to end—
from the silence of Nazareth,
to the sorrow of Calvary,
to the glory of the Resurrection—
and I place myself beneath her maternal care,
that she may lead me ever more perfectly to her Son.
